The Museum of Modernism and the Gothsland Art Gallery present the exhibition “Paris-Barcelona. The feminine vision of the Belle Époque ”.

The exhibition will offer a new vision of the relationship between the two capitals, Paris and Barcelona, ​​through a feminist perspective. The tour will start with models such as Madeleine de Boisguillaume, Stéphanie Nantas, Clo-clo, Júlia Peraire and will be completed with the female vision of artists such as Suzanne Valadon, Georgette Agutte, Lucie Cousturier and Olga Sacharoff. However, he will try to create a dialogue between the models, muses of the moment and the artists who immortalized them, such as Ramon Casas, Santiago Rusiñol, Toulouse-Lautrec or Alphonse Mucha.

Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Gothsland Gallery, the cultural company of the Pinós-Guirao family will commemorate the celebration with this large exhibition, which will bring together more than 300 works, most of them pictorial, but the visitor will also find sculptures , furniture and decorative arts. The exhibition will be enriched with works by the National Art Museum of Catalonia, the Cau Ferrat Museum in Sitges, the Víctor Balaguer Library-Museum, the AMYC Foundation and private collections.

For the first time, the exhibition will also have two venues, the Barcelona Museum of Modernism, which is reopening, and the gallery itself. The exhibition can be visited until February 5, 2022.
